Career Background
I have a diverse and colorful background. I was once a Teachers Assistant for autistic students and I loved it. I had 8 boys, 3 of which were nonverbal. We would take the boys to see animals on a farm ever so often and you could just see this light come on that was not there before when they touched them. I knew it was animal spirit connection.
I was also a Certified Nurses Assistant on a Pediatrics & Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The animals would come to visit the kids on the peds floor and you would just see their faces light up! I did these different jobs so I could discover where my talents would best serve and Massage Therapy kept calling to me.
Additional Details
I was in school while working on the peds floor and thats how I discovered that animals need massage too. I knew that the animals had to be feeling the energy from the good of the children but they also had to feel the bad energy from the illness that was affecting them because I could feel it and that is very stressful. I was fortunate enough to receive a massage everyday in class and that helped deal with the stress.
So I started massaging the dogs at the end of their rounds and so many of the owners told me this is what I should do. It got to the point were a couple of the dogs would see me and just fall to the floor because they were ready for their massage! So I did my research and received dual certifications in Pet Massage after I became a LMBT.
